Welcome to Fernbank

We are excited to safely welcome you back to experience A World of WOW at Atlanta's Science and Nature Experience, highlighted by 75 acres of outdoor nature adventures in WildWoods and Fernbank Forest.

The health and safety of our guests, members and staff is essential. Learn more about what we're doing to protect our community, including requiring physical distancing and mandatory face coverings in some areas.

This new operations model will evolve over time. Please stay in touch via social media and sign up for e-news alerts for updates.

To help reduce the number of guests and allow for additional cleaning, Fernbank is implementing new timed tickets and temporary daily hours: 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm with additional evening hours Friday-Saturday from 5pm-9pm.

Fernbank Forest is open 9am-11:30am and 1pm-3:30pm daily with additional evening hours Friday-Saturday from 5pm-8pm.

PLEASE NOTE: Fernbank's hours will change effective July 11, 2020: Sunday-Thursday 10am-5pm with additional evening hours Friday-Saturday 5:30-9pm.

Effective immediately, all tickets (both members and non-members) must be pre-purchased online for one of the timed sessions listed above. To make ticket reservations as easy as possible, we've eliminated online fees and are introducing paperless, mobile tickets to allow for a contact-free admission process.

Calendar of Events

Some hands-on experiences will remain closed temporarily. We've reduced capacity  to allow for physical distancing and have expanded our hours to allow for more access. Visit the Calendar of Events for up-to-date information on daily offerings.

Fernbank Museum of Natural History strives to be accessible to everyone. To allow elevator access to those with physical needs, we ask that you temporarily leave strollers at home as a way to reduce elevator demand. If you have suggestions on how to make the museum more accessible, please contact us at Guest.Services@FernbankMuseum.org
