Atlanta City Nature Challenge

April 24 - 27, 2020

UPDATE: The 2020 Atlanta City Nature Challenge will proceed as planned, with some modifications. This year's program is no longer a competition. Instead, the focus is to encourage individuals and families to participate in their own backyards or local green spaces.*

Time in nature can be very beneficial during these stressful and uncertain times. This program is a great way to not only enjoy time in nature, but help give valuable insight to the biodiversity of our city using the iNaturalist app. We hope you will join us April 24 - 27 to connect with nature at home.

*The health and safety of our community is of the utmost importance. Please adhere to social distancing guidelines from the CDC and local health officials.

About the Program

Atlanta is joining a global initiative to encourage individuals and families to document species of plants, animals and fungi found in nature using the iNaturalist app. The Atlanta City Nature Challenge’s goal is to connect people to nature and help give valuable insight into what species call Atlanta home.
