Sock Skating Rink

Skip the skates and enjoy a wintertime tradition not often experienced in the South, wearing only socks to slide around like you're skating across the "ice."

Helpful Tips 

• No ice skates needed! Guests will “skate” by sliding around on socks.  
• Bring your own socks or stop by the Museum Store to purchase a pair.  
• While the rink is not made of ice, the surface is just as slippery, so please exercise caution.  
• This new feature is located outdoors on the museum Terrace; dress accordingly.  
• Face coverings are required and the rink is limited to 10 participants at a time.  
• Handrails and other touch surfaces are cleaned on a regular basis.  
• There is no additional fee to enjoy the rink; access is included with general museum admission; FREE for members.  

Recommended for all ages.
