Summary

Job Summary

Interpretive Ranger, Part-Time

Job Summary

The Interpretive Ranger will enhance visitor experiences in Fernbank Forest and WildWoods outdoor areas as a roving naturalist during public hours. In addition to monitoring conditions along the trails and outdoor exhibitions, the Ranger will provide some interpretation of Fernbank's outdoor natural resources to the public. This job requires extensive time spent outdoors in all conditions and on uneven terrain. This position requires availability of at least 2 full days (including a weekend day) and 1 half day weekly.

Manager of Grants and Sponsorships, Full-Time

Job Summary
The Manager of Grants and Sponsorships works closely with the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and other departments as needed to ensure the integrity and professional management of all grants and sponsorships. Responsibilities include a major emphasis on writing with additional oversight of all facets of granting including researching funding opportunities, meeting submission deadlines, fulfillment and compliance, monitoring funds and reporting. This position will develop and manage a robust proposal and grant reporting schedules, renew existing grant partnerships, identify viable corporate and foundation prospects and meet all required deadlines.

Projects Coordinator, Full-Time

Job Summary
Support the museum's marketing department by coordinating design projects, including but not limited to ads, signage, graphics, printed materials and multi-format projects for internal museum clients (annual fund, gala, mail projects, membership, special events, etc.). Day-to-day procedures include reviewing job requests, assigning tasks in Asana, trafficking designs through Review Studio, submitting ads to media outlets, monitoring inventory of printed materials, keeping projects on deadline, organizing digital assets, and bidding and managing production projects. This role works very closely with the graphic designers, copywriters and other museum departments.

Public Programs Manager

Job Summary

The Public Programs Manager will develop, implement and coordinate educational programs and activities for various audiences, including adults, teens, children and families.  Specific responsibilities include oversight for on-site and off-site public programming, family event day planning and the Fernbank Ultimate Naturalist (FUN) youth volunteer program. The Public Programs Manager will also co-manage Fernbank's annual summer camp program.

School Programs Manager

Summary

The School Programs Manager will oversee Fernbank Museum's preschool- 12th grade school and educator programs, including those conducted on-site as well as outreach opportunities.  Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, developing resources and programs for students, creating and providing content for teachers, and developing school partnerships. The School Programs Manager will also co-lead the Museum's summer camp program.

Special Event Staff, Part-Time

As part of Fernbank Museum's special events staff, bussers are a key element in ensuring a quality guest experience during internal, public, and external events (wedding receptions, corporate parties).

This position offers a flexible schedule in a truly unique work environment. Starting pay is $9/hour, plus tip out on cash bars.
